Advance Car Hire has reserved your vehicle with the car rental company stated on your voucher which you will receive after payment of the booking fee has been confirmed.
Advance car hire is an independent broker and does not represent any one car hire outlet. The voucher is a booking confirmation only, all documents and rental agreements are signed on collection of the vehicle and are subject to local laws. The voucher must be presented on collection of the vehicle in order to ensure the correct rate is applied to your rental. Rates are guaranteed in the currency of the country of destination.
Rental Includes:
- VAT as at the time of booking.
- Collision damage coverage.
- Theft protection for the vehicle. Rental limits any vehicle damage or loss liability to an excess. Most rental companies offer an additional cost at the time of pick up to waive the excess.
- Unlimited mileage.
- Airport surcharge on rentals starting at an airport location.
Rental does not include:
- Personal accident insurance for the driver or passenger. Optional cover may be offered at the rental location for an additional fee.
- Tolls, travel stickers, traffic fines, congestion charges and parking fees.
- Fuel. Most rental companies release the vehicle with a full tank and it is advisable to return the vehicle full. Please check on collection what the fuel status is.
General Terms
- Advance Car Hire does not provide insurance. This is done directly with the car rental company.
- On collection of the vehicle the local supplier will require a security deposit to cover excess, fuel & VAT. This amount is only 'blocked' on the credit card and not removed. Most car rental operators only accept credit cards and not debit cards or cash. Be sure to check with our agents at time of reservation. The amount is released in full on return of the vehicle provided the vehicle is returned in the same condition as on collection.
- Delivery and collection of the vehicle can be arranged during normal office hours, there may be a charge for this. Drop off, delivery and collection fees are estimates only and may change without notice.
- Additional drivers sign on and pay locally. At most locations the first additional driver is free. Check at the time of reservation.
- With most car hire companies insurance waivers do not cover damage to windows, wheels, tyres, the roof, undercarriage and interior of the vehicle. Neither do they cover towing costs, damage caused by negligence of the driver or damage caused be a driver who is not authorised on the rental contract to drive the vehicle.
- Out of hours charges may apply.
- Optional extras such as baby seats, GPS etc will be charged at the local rate.
- Age restrictions differ from company to company as such there may be a young driver surcharge if you are under 25. Please enquire at time of reservation.
- Period of rental is as stipulated on your voucher. Should you wish to extend your rental, or if you return the vehicle later than stated on your voucher then you will be charged locally at the local rate.
- Amendment Charges
Amendments to your booking can be made via our call centre on 0800 2494007. A fee of €5 per amendment will be charged. - Drivers Licence
Drivers must produce a full drivers licence from their country of residence which has been valid for a minimum of 2 years. British licence holders must also produce the paper endorsement sheet that is issued with the licence. Any endorsements on the licence must be revealed to us at time of reservation as we may not be able to accept your booking.
We will not refund fees due to the failure of the renter to produce the relevant documentation. Temporary licence's, faxes & photocopies are not acceptable. - Release of Vehicle
The car hire company can refuse to release a vehicle if they feel that the renter in their opinion is unfit to drive or does not meet requirements. In such an event no refund from Advance Car Hire will apply. - CAW/TW
Exclusions:- Waivers will not cover where the vehicle has been driven on unsuitable surfaces without due care.
- Where the driver is not named on the rental agreement.
- Where the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Where the damage is caused by the vehicle being towed by an unauthorised third party.
- In the above instances you will be liable for the full cost of the damage.
- Where the vehicle keys are lost or damaged you will be responsible for replacements.
- Costs over and above the excess may apply should the vehicle be stolen as a result of the loss of the keys.
- Cancellations
Reservations must be cancelled within the following time periods and cancellation fees will apply as follows:- 7 days - €20
- 2.6 days - €50
- less than 2 days - Full cost
- Car Hire / Availability
We are not able to guarantee a definite model / make of vehicle. The cars shown on our website are for guidance only and vary from rental company to rental company. If the group of vehicle requested is not available you will be upgraded at no additional cost.
Advance Car Hire shall not be liable through it's suppliers for their failure to perfom in any way.
